A leak is characterized as a continuous and stable flow of water.
|
As soon as water starts flowing, Clip-Flow's electronic device monitors and analyses it until it stops. If the flow is stable and continuous without variations after a certain volume of water, Clip-Flow identifies the existence of an anomaly and automatically cuts off the water supply. |
|
When an anomaly is detected Clip-Flow switches off the water.
The switch-breaker's release time is linked to the level of the stabilized flow. The higher the flow, the shorter the reaction time.
A few indicative release times :
A bath left running : 12 minutes
Tap on a sink left open : 20 minutes
A leaking toilet flush : 45 minutes
Seepage on a toilet flush : 4 heures
Clip-Flow does not react when there are multiple uses of water and thus frequent variations in flow. Examples :
In a house, in the evening, water can be used simultaneously in the kitchen, bathroom, shower, washing machines and watering. Clip-Flow will not stop the water because it reacts only in the event of a stabilized water flow over a too long period.
In a school building, Clip-Flow will not switch off the water when toilets are in use. However, an opened tap will be detected outside peak times (during class time or at night), a rupture of a flexible connection with a basin occurring at the weekend will be identified within a matter of seconds.
A leaking toilet flush will generally be identified during « off peak hours » , usually at night. la nuit généralement - For very low water flows, Clip-Flow will wait a few hours before triggering the cut off of water.
Clip-Flow reacts instantaneously in the event of a sudden rise in flow, indicating a burst pipe.
