The amount of compensation paid by insurance companies following water damage in a house very often does not exceed 3000 Euros.

The amount of uncompensated damage, in particular the cost of wasted water, should be added to the compensated figure. For example, underground leaks account for a total loss of 10% of water consumption, although these water leaks affect only 1% of users.
