Environment and Sustainable development

Water is at the heart of « Sustainable development », a concept which appeared in 1987 and whose objective is to learn how present generations could satisfy their water requirements without compromising the aptitude of future generations to satisfy theirs.

The challenges can be summarized as follows :

The exhaustion of ground water creates problems in certain areas of the European Union. In particular, it poses a serious threat to some developing countries to maintaining agricultural activities, enabling them to satisfy their food requirements (Sources IWMI - International Water Management Institute)

Ecological disasters among which the most obvious and mediatised is the drying of the Aral Sea.

Hydrelis' activity is at the centre of the objectives for « Sustainable development » , which promotes technologies for developing solutions to reduce pollution and water and energy waste.

Hydrelis' systems are recommended for a sustainable development approach.

They limit any type of waste of water: leaks, accidents, carelessness, vandalism.

They can immediately inform the user about their own abnormal consumption and thus increase their awareness on the necessity to modify their attitude towards water use.
